What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is guided hypnosis, or a trance-like state of focus and concentration achieved with the help of a clinical hypnotherapist. This trance-like state is similar to being completely absorbed in a book, movie, music, or even one’s own thoughts or meditations and it is incredibly relaxing. We go in and out of trance many times a day, if you have ever driven somewhere and can’t remember the route that is an example of being ‘in trance’ although you have complete control of what you are seeing, hearing and experiencing. When in trance clients can turn their attention completely inward to find and utilize the natural resources deep within themselves that can help them make changes or regain control in certain areas of their life. Your hypnotherapist will help you facilitate this with direct and indirect suggestions and imagery. This is the reason that hypnosis is so successful.

Can anybody be hypnotised?
Yes, anyone can be hypnotised as long as they want to be. Every person who is able to understand the hypnotherapist, is able to be hypnotised in order to achieve a positive outcome.
How many sessions will I need?
Depending on the situation maybe 3-4 times, but sometimes more or less sessions are required. Hypnotherapy is an effective therapy but it also depends on your motivation and desire to change. Your hypnotherapist will want to help you in the minimum number of sessions possible. You and the hypnotherapist will review your progress so that at any time you can make a valued judgement about how the therapy is progressing.
How often will I need to see the hypnotherapist?
This depends on the type of problem and on the progress that has been made. Your hypnotherapist will usually see you once a week. However, some clients see the hypnotherapist once a fortnight or even once a month depending on their circumstances.
How Much Does It Cost?
Sessions last approx 1 hour (however the 1st session is likely to be longer) and cost £85
You must give 48 hours notice of change to appointment time.
50% fee if less than 48 hours notice.
100% fee if cancelled less than 24 hours notice.
